IDEMITSU GROUP BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
Idemitsu made its start with the sales of lubricants in 1911. The Founder,Sazo Idemitsu, based his management philosophy on the concept of “people-centered business management that shows respect for human begins and contribute to society through business operations. “Today,over 100 years since the founding of Idemitsu,It is still our aim to make contributions to society through continuous growth, while upholding this philosophy. At the present time, Idemitsu Group’s business strategy is divided into
1. "Petroleum Business" centered on fuel products and lubricants
2. "Petrochemical Business" comprising fields such as basic chemicals and performance materials
3."Resource Business" that handles oil exploration and production as well as coal and uranium mining, and
4. "New Growth Business" where future growth is anticipated in areas such as agricultural biotechnology, renewable energy and electronic materials. With a mid-term management strategy is established.
